I started this blog a long time ago to introduce the idea of creating an oasis with home design. I have been thinking about how that limits what I wanted to accomplish for people to just the home. I want to make more of an impact! Why make it some place you long to be? YOU can be the oasis! You can bring refreshing thoughts to the world - you can bring joy and peace. I am still sure that your environment plays an important role in recharging you and giving you a place to rest, but you can choose to create that feeling wherever you go. Your desk at work, your room in a shared dwelling, your laundry room! It all starts with you - your heart, your spirit - express that essence that makes you who you are and you define Your life!

In the beginning...

the home was meant for protection from the elements and dangers of the outside world. It is still a primary necessity for survival scenarios. You must have shelter.
I have had in my heart for a long while that a home should do more that shelter someone. It should be a place of sanctuary. Somewhere safe, comfortable, and rejuvenating. I am pleased and blessed to announce the start of what I hope will be a way to bring this feeling to more people.
